The MSJFL Vote Count for Under 11s, 12s and 13s was held on Tuesday August 18th.
Dingley Football Club had 3 invitees;
Cameron Polson polled consistently throughout the season and with 1 round remaining was a big chance to win. In an exciting count Cam finished runner up U11 East – a fantastic achievement capping a top season by Cam.
Corey Connelly in the Under 12s East was also in a strong position up until the end, the final 3 votes going to the winner, leaving Corey 2 votes behind in 3rd position, like Cameron it was a terrific achievement and just reward for a great season.
Andy Din after another terrific season was always a big chance to win in U13 East, and after another exciting count finished runner up. Andy has strung a number of terrific seasons together and again was a star for Dingley FC.
Congratulations to all 3 boys who represented DFC with distinction. The Dingley Football Club Junior Committee are pleased to announce the following coaching appointments in the U9 – U12 age groups for 2010.
Under 17s
The Dingley Junior Football Club is excited to announce the appointment of Shane Morwood as coach of Dingley Football Club Under 17s for season 2010.
Shane has extraordinary football experience, including vast experience as both coach and player, and, famously, as a Premiership Player for Collingwood in 1990. Shane's experience with Collingwood, Dingley, Noble Park, Sandringham Dragons, amongst others is terrific and the Dingley Football Club should be honoured that Shane is willing to pass on his knowledge and experience to our Under 17 group.
Chris Morgan has also become involved taking on an Assistant Coaching Role. Chris is the current number one ruckman for Dingley. Chris is a 2009 Southern Football League Interleague representative and recognised as one of the competitions leading players. Chris was also co captain of Dingleys historic 2008 SFL premiership. It's great that Chris is involved and this furthers strengthens the link between the seniors and juniors at the Dingley Football Club.
Steve Walton has also joined the U17 coaching panel for season 2010 to cap off a "coaching dream team". Steve is recognised in the region as one of it's best coaches, with tremendous experience around the district with teams including, Parkdale, Dingley and Sandringham Dragons. Steve has been involved in the development of elite juniors for a number of years and has also been a long serving coaching coordinator with Dingley and has great knowledge of the U17 2010 group.
The U17 coaching panel appointments for season 2010 represent a major coup for the Dingley Football Club and will be enormously beneficial and influential in developing and guiding our U17 players as they transition into senior football over the coming seasons.
Under 16s
The Dingley Junior Football Club is pleased to announce the reappointment of Aldo Mangoni. Aldo has been appointed coach of the 2010 U16s.
Aldo bought home a premiership to Dingley in 2009 and is looking to continue the development of the team in 2010 as they step up a division. The passion and effort Also brings to his teams is well known around the club and Aldo's commitment to his team and the club is greatly appreciated by all at DJFC.

Dingley Junior Football Club is pleased to announce that Darren Eckhardt has been reappointed and will coach the DJFC U14s in season 2010.
As an experienced coach Darren's skills and passion for the job is highly regarded within the footy club and we see this appointment as very exciting for the 2010 U14 team.Darren coached our U13s in 2009 in the very strong East Division and the improvement displayed and the enjoyment the players had was evident as the season progressed.
Darren is looking to continue on the platform created in season 2009 and continue his development of our junior footballersUnder 13s
The Dingley Junior Football Club (DJFC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Ersch as coach of the DJFC U13s for season 2010.
Jon brings to the U13s a wealth of football experience including coaching experience in the local region, including at both junior and senior level as well as coaching and playing experience in the country area including a stint with Morwell East in the Mid Gippsland Football League.
Jon is passionate about developing young footballers and aims to provide a positive environment where the players enjoy their football while learning and developing. Jon is Michaels father - Michael played in the U12 Red (East) in 2009.At this stage Jon is the only U13 coaching appointment as there is no certainty of numbers with some players expected to stay in U12s where they are still eligible to play and with some players unsure of whether they are continuing on in 2010. Jon will therefore coach the entire U13 squad initially, with a decision closer to the season made on whether there are two U13s teams and, if so, the composition of these teams.
Congratulations to Jason Wylie in achieving his 100th game for the Dingley Dingoes.
Jason has been playing for seven seasons and in 2004, at Under 9 level, he was part of a Lightening Premiership.
For the last few seasons he has been a playing a very effective role as a hard running wingman man, but he can also play a key position in the back line of forward line, when required.
Jason commits himself to training and is always willing to listen to try and improve. He is a pleasure to coach, and you can always depend on him to give 100% on game day.
Jason has a good future at the Dingley Football Club, and we wish him all the best in his football career.

Dingley Under 14s
Congratulations to Jesse Andrews in achieving his 100th game for the Dingley Dingoes.
Jesse has been playing for seven seasons and in 2004, at Under 9 level, he was part of a Lightening Premiership.
Jesse would be one of the smallest players in our age grade, but is without doubt one of the most courageous. On many occasions you close your eyes hoping the he will not get crunched by someone twice his size. Jesse never pulls back, and he will take on anyone, and is admired for his bravery.
Jesse has good football skills, and with his game experience, he has uncanny ability of reading the flight of the ball and being where it drops. He knows how to kick a goal and his contribution of 12 goals this season was exceptional. He kicked 4 goals in his 100th game, which made it very special.
We wish Jesse all the best in his future at the Dingley Football Club.

Dingley Under 14s
Congratulations to Jake Bowen in achieving his 100th game for the Dingley Dingoes.
Jake has been a stalwart of the Dingoes for seven seasons now playing two years at under 9 level where he was part of a Lightening Premiership in 2004.
He is noted as the longest kick in our team and is a very versatile player. He can play at Full Back, Ruck, Wing and will occasionally do a job in the forward line.
Last season at Under 13, Jake received 5 MSJFL umpire votes which shows the potential he has to influence a game.
It is a pleasure coaching Jake and we wish him well in his future at the club and in his future football career.

Last weekend three Dingley Under 14 players represented the MSJFL in their annual Inter League games. Nathan Freeman was selected for the Metro team that played two games in Melbourne. Jack Grange and Luke Heywood were selected for the MSJFL team that travelled to Adelaide to play.
Nathan and Jack were also appointed captains of their respective teams. A great honour.
The Metro team won their first game against the Northern Football League by seven goals, with Nathan being noted in the best players. They lost their next match to a strong Yarra Valley team by four goals. Nathan was awarded the medal for best on ground in this game which is a terrific achievement at this level.
In Adelaide the MSJFL team won their game by four goals. By all reports Jack and Luke played very well, with Jack getting on the score sheet for a goal.
Competition for places in these teams is very tough and all of the boys are to be congratulated for their achievement in representing the Dingley Football Club at this level.
Matt Watson (Under 14 Coach)
Last weekend Corey spent two intense days at Carey Grammar for the VPSS training camp with 40 other boys all vying for a spot in the final team of 22.
Unfortunately Corey was not selected in the last 22 players to go to Queensland later in the year. However he was selected in the Elite Australian Rules Academy Squad, which helped ease his disappointment a little.
It was a terrific effort to reach the final stage
At last nights Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League Jumper Presentation, we had Nathan Freeman, Jack Grange and Luke Heywood present to receive their jumpers and kits for this weekends League games. As you know, they have been selected to represent the League.
The MSJFL also announced Leadership positions of both teams.
Nathan was named Captain of the Melbourne Metropolitan Team and Jack Captain of the Adelaide Team.
To have two Dingley boys lead both teams is remarkable and a huge achievement to them and to our Club.
Congratulations boys and Good Luck this weekend.
Cheers, Natalie Freeman, Team Manager U14
Over the weekend the U12 Vic Metro and Vic Country Under 12 came together at Trinity playing fields for a series of games to select the Victorian Under 12 squad.
Both Cameron and Corey acquitted themselves very well. Unfortunately Cameron didn't make the final squad but should be congratulated on reaching the final stages and for being selected in the Vic Metro squad - great stuff Cam.
Corey was selected in the Victorian squad and is now off to Carey Grammar for a training camp over the upcoming long weekend before the final team of 22 is selected to go to Maroochydore (Queensland) in August.
We wish Corey all the best and congratulations on a fantastic achievement.
Season 2009 is well underway with last weekend seeing the completion of Round 6. We hope all the players are enjoying their football and having fun playing for the Dingley Junior Football Club.

Corey Connelly and Cameron Belt played in the regional trials and both have made the Vic Metro squads!!!
They now play against Vic Country and have a series of training and training camps before the Victorian team to go to Queensland is selected.
To get this far is a mighty effort.
The following Junior sides Match Reports for round 6 have been posted on the Website.
Under 9 Black.
Under 9 Red (East).
Under 14.
The Victorian Primary Schools Sports (VPSS) selection trials have commenced and after Andy Din from (this years) Under 13s went all the way last year to win selection in the Victorian team, the Dingley Footy Club once again have a couple of current Under 12 players still in contention this year.
After a number of trial games both Corey Connelly and Cameron Belt have been selected in the Flintoff King Regional team, this team represents the South Central region and covers the area from Beaconsfield through to Oakleigh and encompassing the Peninsula and Westernport areas, this is a terrific achievement already from the boys.
4 teams from metropolitan and 4 teams from country regions will play a number of games as the list gets whittled down to the eventual 24 man squad who will represent Victoria later this season in August.
We wish Cameron and Corey all the best in their upcoming trials.
