Well boys, today certainly seemed to be a more disciplined effort.
We had plenty of second efforts, a good amount of talk and lots of run.

Well boys, I am not too sure as to how to respond to last Sunday's game so I will do my best.
Sunday was disappointing to say the least.

I must say that we are very proud of your efforts on Sunday.
Unfortunately, we started alot slower than St Peters who took advantage of us and treated us with comtempt in the first half.
They came out from the start and were alot more physical with us than we were of them.
They ran hard, ran into space and used their midfield and onballers much better than we did in the first half.

Even though we had a depleted side on Sunday, I still thought the end result was disappointing.
Sunday's game was not about who was missing, but about who was going to take on added responsibility and show the leadership qualities required to help cover the players we were missing.

Well boys, I must say you all deserve a big pat on the back. You fought hard most of the match and I was thinking, that was the one aspect of the game which may have saved us from a bigger loss. Sunday allowed us to apply another skill to the game. Add this to the running into space, running past, loud voies and manning up and we could beat anyone at full strength.

Well done boys, what a great win we had on Sunday. In fantastic conditions we really had no excuses. We seemed to move the ball alot better than we had before. Our backs took some advice before the match and ran in packs showing each other great support. We ran well and supported each other around the ground.

Let me start this week by thanking all the Mums for giving up their time on Mothers Day. Thanks to you boys who gave 110%. This game against Ormond should not be forgotten quickly. Not because of the result, but because we should the opportunity to learn from it.

Sunday was an opportunity to try somethings a little different. Playing some forward up back, backs up forward, some boys on the ball who are not usually there. We moved the ball well and had several goal kickers. Lets not ignore the fact that we only kicked the same amount of goals as the teams before us.

St Peters took it up to us in the first three quarters. Our backs worked hard to stop goals being scored at the south end of the ground. They found it (as we did in the first quarter) hard to score at the other end. We scored due to the rebound we saw all day from our backs. They continually fought hard to defend the goals.

Well done boys, what a fantastic effort on Sunday. As a Coach I get no greater pleasure than seeing the boys put into action what we hae been doing at training. We ran the ball out of the backline with plenty of voice and clearing handballs to a passing Dingo.
