This was our first early start for 5 rounds and our 1st quarter performances playing away have been sluggish this year. So the boys were asked to play their best game from the first whistle especially in the wet conditions that welcomed us at Murrembeena Park.

Our first game for the year at Souter Oval was always going to be interesting to see how our boys would handle the bigger ground. They were told to stay out of the centre-wicket mud, hold their positions and use the wind to their advantage. We won the toss and went with the wind in the first quarter.

Dingoes 14 11 95 defeated Ormond 1 0 6Round 6 - Match Report – 23/5/10
Dingley ventured to Ormond for the first time in a match we were looking forward to as Ormond won our division lightening premiership last season. It seemed, however, that most of their team that day were second year players as this was a different team consisting of first year players who were no match for the 15 game veteran Dingoes.

Dingoes 5 2 32 drew with Mustangs 4 8 32Round 5 - Match Report – 16/5/10
Our local derby started with the Mustangs more determined to win the football and it showed on the scoreboard with them scoring the only goal of the first quarter. The second quarter was more even with 1 goal each mainly due to our determined defence that forced the opposition to also score 4 behinds.

The Dingoes, coming off a tough away loss were keen to defend our undefeated Corrigan Oval record against a team also sitting on 1 win and 2 losses. The boys got off to a great start and most of the first quarter action was in the Dingoes forward line.

After a great win in Round 2, the Dingoes were poised to continue their form against East Brighton at Hurlingham Reserve. The boys appeared to have all been at the same sleep-over the night before and seemed tired and lethargic.

This was our first home game of the year against a young Ajax team in their first year of football. From the first bounce it was obvious that our boys were bigger, faster and more experienced than the opposition.

Dingoes 3 6 24 lost to Sharks 4 6 30Round 1 - Match Report – 18/4/10
This was our first game of the year and our first game in East Division against a team that we had a 1 win / 1 loss ratio with last year. We started with terrific running through the middle from David Cowell with great bumping support from Mitch Newman and Jordan Dudfield. Our forwards of Billy Peake and Jeramie Simmons had the odd shot at goal that eventuated into 3 behinds for the quarter. The sharks also managed 3 behinds due to excellent defence from David Schaeche & Jack Bertoli.
